Issue solving essentials with PUFFIN BEAUTY

APRICOT x PUFFIN BEAUTY Issue Solving Essentials

Who hasn't experienced it? Summer has just begun, and then it's already over, and the radiant summer glow is replaced by the after-effects of wind and weather. The consequences: Dry, stressed skin and dull hair.

APRICOT CEO Lea Mener and brandfriend Elena Musiol, founder of PUFFIN BEAUTY, got together and talked about solving issues - we about skin, she about hair. What came out: An exciting Q&A and an equally exciting Issue Solver Hydration Bundle.

3 Questions with Lea Mener and Elena Musiol

You are dealing with the topic of issues, what are the issues and how do you solve them?

Lea: We're all about skin and how it makes you feel. If your frown lines annoy you when you look in the mirror, we have a simple and convenient solution: our reusable hyaluronic pads - either explicitly for frown lines or the entire forehead area.

If a tired look after a short night is an issue for you - fine! A whole beauty squad comes into play: from Microneedle Patches as a quick fix, to the pads and eye cream with hyaluron and apple extract.

It is always important for us to ask: What really bothers you and do you feel is a beauty issue? What is just an externally driven trigger, which wrinkle or scar is an important part of you and should rather be embraced than treated.

With clarity, we can then individually recommend products from our portfolio that have a quick effect and are easy to use. That way, you have more time for all the things you love and don't have to spend it on endless beauty talks and experiments.

Elena: We are passionate about hair and scalp. Issues is always the starting point for our product development approach, because there is usually a problem underlying a product that needs to be solved.

It is important to us that our products are actually problem solvers, i.e. they must be absolutely functional. We ensure this by using our entire team, our community and a network of hairdressers and stylists to provide ideas for the final product. In concrete terms, using my example, it means that I usually develop product ideas from my need - fine hair without volume - and test the samples accordingly.

On the other hand, we also see the new demands on beauty products as an issue - in a positive way :). We want to meet these demands and for this reason we are clearly positioning ourselves as a clean beauty brand. In addition, we look at each of our products through the lens of sustainability and implement the demands and requirements in the best possible way.

If you could wish for a product that would magically solve one of your own issues, what would it be?

Lea: My colleague always teases me lovingly about my "soon to come" frown line. But to be honest, I sit back and relax. If it really deepens, I just stick it away with our cotton patches. You can hardly see or feel them and they're perfect to wear overnight.

Elena: I have to say that I don't really struggle with any beauty theme at the moment... I have developed a beauty routine over the years and found products that work well for me. Maybe I would like a product that neutralises the red tinge in my hair. But that's complaining on a high level - I actually feel good with myself and also with the one or other imperfection.

What hair or skin issues do you struggle with in cold weather and what are your tips?

Lea: Hands up, that's all I'm saying. I have a dog that I'm outside with super much. Cold air, warm indoors, gloves on/off, rough dog leash, wild ball play.

There's a lot going on with my hands, so I take extra good care of them at this time of year. Almost all of us wear our hand pads in the office and I support the care with hand cream and regular masks.

Elena: In the cold season, like probably almost every woman, I struggle with very fine, straight and electrified hair. On top of that, I started using HAIR GROWTH SPRAY TONIC three quarters of a year ago, so now I also have to tame the newly grown baby hair. To solve this issue, I spray a little of the SILKY SPRAY CONDITIONER into my palm, rub it in and gently press it into the top hair with my palms - as a finisher, so to speak. Since the conditioner doesn't weigh it down at all, I can repeat it several times during the day without an oily film or loss of volume.
